On Election Day, Tuesday, polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. If you are in line at 7:30 p.m., you can still vote, according to the Obama-Biden campaign.

Don't forget to bring ID. Acceptable forms of ID are:
  • Current Ohio driver's license
  • Ohio State photo ID
  • Military ID
  • Current utility bill
  • Government check
  • Paycheck
  • Bank statement
Some counties primarily use electronic machines for voting; some counties use only paper ballots. Even in a machine county, any voter can vote with a paper ballot if they ask for one.  When you vote on paper for Barack Obama, only fill in the oval -- do NOT write his name in. Doing so will invalidate your ballot.

 If you are a student registered to vote in Ohio, the following are acceptable forms of ID:

  • Utility bill issued by your college or university (even if it has zero balance)
  • A government document, including any document with your name and current address from any public college or university

If you have any questions, call Obama's hotline at 1-877-OBAMA-OH.

Other  help lines include the Hamilton County Board of Elections, 632-7000;

the Hamilton County Democratic Party, 421-4095;

Help Protect Your Vote!

  • You can confirm that you are registered by calling the Hamilton County Board of Elections  at  632-7000 or by going to  http://www.votehamiltoncounty.com and using the buttons at the top center of the page.

  • Confirm the address of your polling location on the same website.

  • Be safe. Bring more than one form of identification to the polls.  Additional identification can be helpful if anyone challenges your eligibility: current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, state issued photo ID, driver's license, or other government document that shows your name and current address.

  • Visit http://www.votehamiltoncounty/ or  http://www.acluohio.org/ for more information:

    ●  INSPECT YOUR BALLOT FOR ANY MARKS IN THE BOXES OR OTHER IRREGULARITIES BEFORE YOU VOTE! If anything seems unusual or suspicious with your ballot or anything else, call it to the attention of a Democratic poll worker before you vote!

  • If you mess up a ballot, you can return it to the poll workers and get a new one.

  • BRING YOUR CELL PHONE in case you need to call a help line (see above).
