Ohio Democratic Party

As we all know here in Cincinnati, getting reliable information about what's going on in the capitol can sometimes be difficult. This site keeps you up-to-date on the doings of the Ohio Democratic Party and the legislature in Columbus.  A new site,  http://www.PaintOhioBlue.com, will be  a new grassroots and netroots center for Ohio Dems
for the 2006 election cycle. It will provide information on
volunteer opportunities, resources for registering to vote and early voting, multi-media viewing, and a new blog.

Not political, but home, sweet home. This site has a lot of information about living and working in Springfield Town- ship. Non-partisan Information

League of Women Voters
They publish an awesome Directory of Public Officials for residents of Hamilton County.  It includes state and federal office holders, phone numbers, faxes, terms of office, emails and websites, as well as proper forms of address.  You can probably pick up a copy at the Public Library.

"Making democracy work" is the League's motto.  They cover some non-partisan information about candidates, issues, and elections, but often fail to give information that could help you decide who to vote for.  Look elsewhere for who is a right-to-lifer, who wants to teach "intelligent design" in science classes, etc.

THE U.S. CONGRESS VOTES DATABASE

This site lets you browse every vote in the U.S. Congress since 1991!  Use it to verify Voinovich's sorry record, etc.
